Our Story

The MOKAI watercraft idea was born from the need to provide a product that allowed fishermen, hunters and explorers a craft that granted access to those hard to reach upstream or shallow area locations. Our product had to be lightweight, durable, easy to transport, environmentally friendly and fuel efficient.

In designing the MOKAI, our goal was to provide a product that was sophisticatedly simple. A unique combination hull and Subaru four stroke engine, coupled to our proprietary jet pump propulsion system create the MOKAI. It is simple enough for an average user, without specialized mechanical skills, to assemble or disassemble the major systems of the craft in less than a minute, without any tools!

Constructed of high impact polyethylene, using a rotomolding process, the monocoque (one piece) hull is lightweight yet durable enough to withstand scratches and impact from river rocks.

The MOKAI was designed to balance your desires for fun and performance with society’s needs for better fuel efficiency and cleaner water. The MOKAI is powered by Subaru’s model EX 21, 7hp, 4 stroke engine. Our 3 gallon fuel tank will provide up to 8 hours of use. So basically for the price of a movie ticket, MOKAI will power you to a day of fun on the water!
